PURPOSE:
Provides support to all employees in accordance with the Global Wildlife Center’s established
policies, procedures, and core values.


REPORTS TO:
Administrative Manager


POSITION TYPE: EXEMPT, SALARY COMMENSURATE ON EXPERIENCE


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Associate degree in Human Resources or a related field from accredited college
· At least 2 years of job-related Human Resources experience including but not limited to
record-keeping, management coaching
· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certified Preferred

HUMAN RESOURCES DUTIES:
· Responsible for daily work status reporting and timekeeping.
· Manage overtime and verify payroll hours for employees from time sheets provided.
· Work with management on policy development and implementation ensuring state and
federal compliance with oversight from employment attorney.
· Administer the organization’s benefit programs and act as liaison between employees
and benefit carriers.
· Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
and oversee the updates and retention of all employment forms.
· Maintain and update Global Wildlife Center’s Organizational Chart, Employee List,
Phone List, Salary Grade Plan, Employee Wages and other reports as needed.
· Responsible for employee recognition on birthdays and work anniversaries.
· Assist management in updating Orientation Program for new hires.
· Coordinate posting of employment opportunities, employment application process,
reference checks, extending employment offers, employee on-boarding.
· Coordinate drug screens, and background checks for new employees and as needed.

· Aid in supervising employee terminations along with the staffer’s Department Head and
ensuring appropriate reporting to state agencies.
· Assist with guidance and coaching to supervisory staff.
· Assist in employee counsel and discipline and maintain record(s) of such.
· Assist with investigations regarding personnel issues and maintain record(s) of such.
· Coordinate, schedule, witness, and record employee reviews and wage adjustments
with Department Managers.
· Distribute monthly Worker’s Compensation reports and assist with annual audits.
· Coordinate filing Worker’s Compensation claims and investigations.
· Respond to Unemployment Claim notices.
· Responsible for ordering employee uniform apparel and name tags.


TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT DUTIES:
· Responsible for coordinating team-building within the organization.
· Coordinate and/or facilitate leadership training and development.
· Coordinate and/or facilitate safety training in compliance with the organization’s SOP’s
and state/federal law.
· Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of onboarding training
programs and materials for all new personnel in collaboration with each Department
Manager.
· Actively contribute to the success of the organization by working positively with
employees and departments.
· Perform other duties as assigned.


ASSIST WITH FINANCIAL DUTIES AS NEEDED.
