Is my service dog allowed to tour with me at Global Wildlife Center?

If you run only a few minutes past the check-in time, you will not miss the tour as long as it is not sold out. The tour check-in time is designed to allow time between check-in and the actual boarding time.

The tour departure time is always scheduled to leave approximately 30 minutes after the listed check-in time. This allows time for the check in process, seating of guests, and distribution of animal feed.

You will need to purchase boarding passes for the next available tour. All tours are on a specific time schedule and cannot be held back.

The Safari Wagon Tours are handicap accessible according to ADA guidelines.

Global Wildlife Center offers an American Sign Language Interpreter with a 7 day prior reservation. Please call (985)624-WILD to reserve your tour with an interpreter.

Our facility is free-roaming, so our animals, including the giraffes, can make the decision to approach the safari wagons to be fed. The giraffes love to interact with our visitors and approach plenty of safari wagon tours, but we cannot guarantee it! If giraffe interactions are a priority we recommend the Private Pinz tour, as the 4×4 can traverse in many areas of the property that our safari wagon tours cannot.

If the temperature is below 50 degrees or if weather conditions are adverse, the giraffes are required to stay in their heated barn for their protection.

For the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, firearms are strictly prohibited on Global Wildlife property. This includes all buildings, grounds, and tours.
