Kameel’s 33 birthday and Global’s 35 Anniversary!
Global Wildlife Center is stretching out the Celebration in June! We are honoring Kameel the Giraffe’s 33rd birthday, our two new baby giraffes, our 35th Anniversary and World Giraffe Day with a giraffe-themed birthday party with a 90’s nod every weekend in June!
Did you know that our giraffe matriarch, Kameel, is the second oldest giraffe in North America and was the first giraffe born at Global Wildlife? Come celebrate our golden oldie and join in the fun with Global Wildlife Center this June. At Global Wildlife, we know all about throwing wild birthday parties, so come join us for ours! Support Giraffes in the Wild
One dollar from every Safari Wagon ticket sold on weekends in June will support Giraffe Conservation Foundation, the world’s only non-governmental organization dedicated exclusively to the conservation and management of wild giraffe populations.
Join in the fun!
- Kameel will enjoy a giraffe-sized birthday cake as tall as Kameel with some of her favorite foods like browse, apples, romaine, and hay!
- We’re decorating Global Wildlife Center with all things Giraffe!
- Show your spots! Guests are encouraged to celebrate by wearing animal print or giraffe print attire.
- Play Animal Twister and Pin the Tail on the Giraffe, as well as learn all about giraffes with interactive and educational giraffe displays.
- Commemorative Photo-ops, Facepainting, snowballs and inflatables will add to the fun!
- Kids will want to bring a bathing suit and towel for some splash fun!
- Jam along with 90’s hits and enjoy food trucks at the Visitor Center.
