Please join Global Wildlife Center on congratulating Tour Operations Manager Casey Cousins on her recent graduation from the 2025 Louisiana Tourism Leadership Academy. This year LTLA, sponsored by the Louisiana Travel Association, celebrated ten years of the program and 300 total graduates over the past decade.
Special thanks to our friends at Tangi Tourism for supporting Casey in this worthwhile opportunity and year-long commitment. Louisiana Tourism Leadership Academy (LTLA) unites accomplished leaders who have significantly impacted Louisiana’s tourism industry to educate the next generation of tourism leaders. Through LTLA’s six sessions, these experts share their knowledge and train the leadership class, ensuring a bright future for our state’s travel sector. Through the program, Casey and her fellow graduates learned leadership skills and traits and how to apply these skills to become more proficient in their jobs, gained an understanding of their role in advocacy efforts and the governmental issues that affect the tourism industry, and learned all aspects of product development, from the making of a plan to the funding, execution and marketing of that plan. Finally, they presented a group project to the board of directors for the Louisiana Travel Association and graduated at the LTA Annual Meeting on January 22.
